      Serving the Capital

"Johnsonville Library. In 2011, Council investigated four potential sites for expanding the Johnsonville library. In the Long Term Plan, Council allocated $18.5 million in capital expenditure over 3 years for a new library.

Work is due to start on the new library in 2015/16.

The library will be located next to Keith Spry Pool and Johnsonville Community Centre. It will be developed in a way that creates an integrated community-facilities hub for Johnsonville.

Next Steps.  In 2015, detailed design work will begin on the combined library, community centre and pool. There will be plenty of opportunities to contribute to this design."
